What is a Medical Transcriptionist?

As a medical transcriptionist you will listen to dictated recordings made by physicians and other health care professionals and transcribe the information into medical reports, correspondence, and other administrative material. A transcriptionist uses a foot pedal to pause the recording while transcribing, and keys the text into a personal computer or word processor, editing as necessary for grammar and clarity.

The following are a few of the concepts you will learn in this exciting program:

  • Keyboarding
  • Business English
  • Medical Terminology
  • Beginning Medical Transcription

We understand finding a position is your ultimate goal. We will help you build your resume and cover letter. Our staff is dedicated to assisting you in your job search.

There are no hidden costs and everything you need to successfully complete the program is included. All textbooks and course materials are from industry-proven publishers.
