Course Overview

The CompTIA A+ certification is the national standard for entry into the professional IT world. This in-depth training course teaches the student how to install, repair, upgrade, configure, optimize, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on personal computers and operating systems. The A+ certification by CompTIA is an international and vendor neutral certification that has been endorsed and recognized by industry computing manufacturers and organizations. Being certified in A+ is a typical requirement if you are looking to enter or further your career with companies like Microsoft, HP, Cisco, Novell, CompuCom, Ricoh, Staples, and more.

Included

A+ (220-901 and 220-902) Series courseware with approximately 25 hours of instructive video, interactive labs, pre-tests/post-tests, adaptive test prep program, online student workbook, and two 900 series exam vouchers (both the 901 and 902 tests are required to gain A+ certification). We will also include our education coaching. Also included with the certification program are the A+ textbooks.

Prerequisites

None, but consider adding the Network+ and the Security+ certifications to round out the client’s education and enable them to advance their career more quickly.

What courses will I take?

The following courses are included in the CompTIA A+ Certificate program. You will progress through the program through a series of detailed and engaging video lessons and assessments through the OnlineExpert platform from LearnKey. The CompTIA A+ single track program has a total of 13 credits.

This course introduces the standard that forms the basis of this two-part class, covering the maintenance of PC’s, mobile devices, laptops, operating systems, and printers. The CompTIA A+ certification is the ideal starting point for a career in IT. The emphasis in the Part I course is on the topics related to computer hardware.

Computer Industry Association Hardware Certificate+ Part II
7 Credit Hours
This course continues to expand upon the standard, with emphasis on topics related to mobile devices, security, and troubleshooting.  Prerequisite: TCH100.

All textbooks and learning materials are provided for students in the CompTIA program. Ebooks will be utilized when available. Courses are taken one at a time, and textbooks and materials are delivered as new courses are released to the student.
